Abstract: I shall discuss two elementary inequalities relating capacity to coverings. They provide an approach to determining whether a set has positive capacity and, if so, to estimating the value of the capacity. (Joint work with Quentin Rajon, Jeremie Rostand and Alexis Selezneff).
