In this talk, we will discuss the topological and combinatorial consequences of the cyclic action on an n-gon and on its corresponding polyhedral product. In particular, the action on the cohomology of this space is related to binary Lyndon words and 2-colored necklaces. We can also recover some known results on moment angle complexes.
